Heartwood is a building company with a small team of passionate carpenters based in the Bega Valley of NSW. We provide a broad range of custom carpentry and building services to handcraft the home of your dreams.
DESIGN
Our timber frame plans are all designed in house. We use 3D rendered images to give you a clear understanding of how our projects will look and fit within your home.
We can also work alongside your Draftsman or Architects to incorporate one of our Traditional frames into your upcoming project.
Our design service is also available for smaller jobs. Whether you are looking for a custom outdoor furniture piece, a set of barn doors for your renovation or an outdoor entertaining area, feel free to get in touch and see if we can help bring your vision to life.
BUILD
Heartwood is a licensed and insured building company in NSW. We service the far south coast of NSW including Bermagui, Bega, Cobargo, Tathra, Merimbula & Narooma.
Our Traditional Post & Beam Frames can be delivered outside of our area. We handcraft our frames within the workshop before they are pulled apart, delivered on a truck and re-erected on-site.
We can assist in projects of all sizes, big and small.
TRADITIONAL POST & BEAM
Heartwood is one of the few Building companies in Australia that provides Traditional Post & Beam framing. All our frames are designed in house and can be custom suited to your project.
Incorporating Traditional Post & Beam into a modern home allows us to tailor our design and scale to your budget. Our projects range from feature mailbox / entry gate frames, outdoor pergolas, feature trusses, small cabins, homes and barns.
We handcraft our frames in our workshop before disassembling, and delivering on a truck to be erected on-site.

Heartwood specialises in the construction of homes from roughsawn and green hardwood.
We can organise to mill on-site and incorporate the timber from your property into our projects.
Building with green hardwood takes careful planning and a deep understanding of how timber behaves whilst going through the curing and then seasoning stages.
