Welcome to Heartwood Traditional Building

Heartwood Traditional Building is a hands-on building and carpentry company devoted to the old ways of building well. We work with timber, tools, and techniques that have stood the test of time, crafting strong, honest structures with care and purpose.

From residential buildings and fine carpentry to heritage restoration and timber framing, our work is shaped by a respect for materials and a traditional pride in workmanship. We design, engineer, and handcraft timber frames for homes and buildings across Australia, bringing together practical knowledge and traditional skill.

Sharing these skills is at the heart of what we do. We host and travel to deliver traditional timber framing workshops, build frames for learning, and support those who want to understand and work with timber in a deeper way.

An online store is in the works, launching in 2026.

At Heartwood, we believe good building comes from patience, integrity, and a genuine love of the craft. Every beam, joint, and detail matters — because buildings should be made to last, and made with heart.
